Faridpur-4 MP Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury alias Nixon Chowdhury has not been granted anticipatory bail by the supreme court in an EC case for allegedly violating the Electoral Code of Conduct. As a result, the six-week bail granted by the supreme court remained within the chamber of the Appellate Division.

On an equivalent day, the state appealed to the supreme court to remain the anticipatory bail granted to Nixon Chowdhury. the appliance was made to the concerned branch of the Supreme Court.
Earlier on Tuesday (October 20) at noon, Nixon Chowdhury was granted 6 weeks anticipatory bail by Justice Sheikh Mohammad. supreme court bench of Zakir Hossain and Justice KM Zahid Sarwar Kajal.
On that day, Nixon Chowdhury claimed to the journalists that the committee had filed a false case against him with an excellent edited clip. He told reporters that he expects justice. The committee has filed a case against MP Nixon Chowdhury for violating the code of conduct if the audio of insulting UNOs and magistrates over the phonephone during the Faridpur Charbhadrasan Upazila Parishad by-election went viral.
Nixon Chowdhury said, which has been made by editing untruths. Now the legal case against me, I even have been saying over and once again , the maximum amount as I even have this recording, it’s with the Deputy Commissioner, i’m raising this claim on how it came to get on social media. It should even be judged. There should be a case against the deputy commissioner for leaking my audio clip.
On October 15, the EC filed a case against Nixon Chowdhury for violating the code of conduct within the by-election for the post of chairman of the Charbhadrasan Upazila Parishad in Faridpur and for intimidating, abusing and threatening officialdom . District Senior Election Officer Nawabul Islam filed the case with Charbhadrasan police headquarters .
Charbhadrasan Upazila Parishad elections were persisted 10 October. Nixon Chowdhury threatened the deputy commissioner and therefore the upazila military officer and abused the election officials. during this incident, a letter was also sent to the committee seeking redressal from the cupboard Division regarding the misconduct. After reviewing the letter, the Commission Secretariat decided the case as per the Upazila Parishad (Election Conduct) Rules.
